+++ NOT OPEN DURING MOVIE PARK'S HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS +++
The roller coaster's backdrop stretches across the abandoned Moviepark Studios site, once known as the old Italo-Western studio lot. The legendary "Iron Claw" western movies were filmed at this location, starring the popular performer Wingo Star. Wingo Star, a charismatic vulture with an iron claw, gave these films their unique charm.
But over the years, the "Iron Claw" series lost popularity. Changing trends and increasingly difficult shooting conditions meant that the films attracted fewer and fewer viewers. This decline eventually set off a chain of events: Wingo lost its former fame and fortune, and Western Studios was forced to close its doors forever.
Today, Wingo ekes out his existence as a good-for-nothing bandit in the dilapidated studio halls, which he lined with rags, scrap metal and stolen treasures. Only a few Western props and yellowed movie posters remind us of the glory days of "Iron Claw". But the former glory has long since faded, and the once magnificent film set has become a desolate ruin that bears witness only to the past.
